2020 Best in New and Used Tire Places in Hagerstown, MD
I give reviews once and a while and I was thinking about my own experience in calling around for tires.......................aaaaaagggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Most everyone was extremely nice but the prices made me pause and think about taking out a second mortgage. Just kidding I don't have a first mortgage but that is what came to my mind.
For three decades I ran some of the largest automobile dealerships in the United States and for most of that time I oversaw the service department. I know how hard they work. I know the suppliers. I know the manufacturers. I also know that it many tires are made at similar plants
My Mercedes Benz SUV is full time all wheel drive meaning that when tires are close to, or need, replacing you have to do all four at the same time.
Sams Club had good prices but they were out of stock. I called to ask when they would be restocked and the answer I got was "we have no idea". Fair enough.
Walmart had the tires in stock and their prices were good so I planned on going there the next day.
The area I was driving towards had a McDonalds, and calling around made me thirsty so I decided to get a sweet tea (thanks Momaw), I saw this building with a new facade and a new banner NEW & USED TIRES.
On my way out of McDonalds I turned into this new place. Parked. Went in and was met with Ted the Manager. Within 5 minutes he gave me a price and we set a time to install my tires.
The PRICE I got was LESS than 27%, I have a background in accounting so I did the math, than Walmart. WHAT? Yes all I have said was true and there was no fine/small print.
Ted, the manager, is a good guy. Melvin Rivera and the guys are all good guys.
Hence, the best places in Hagerstown Maryland are, in my expert opinion, are:
